Ahead of their actual comeback, six members from Girls’ Generation are reported to have filmed for another episode of SBS “Running Man”.
On the 19th of September, Jo Hyojin PD revealed that, “6 members of Girls’ Generation – YoonA, Yuri, Jessica, Seohyun, Taeyeon, Hyoyeon and others participated in the recording of the show today. As soon as Girls’ Generation members appeared, the male members of ‘Running Man’ became speechless”.
The episode they were filming for where said to be an upgraded version of their previous “Jjakgoong / partner of the opposite sex race” episode aired last 7th of August. All six members will be carrying out missions in pairs with the male regular members of the show.
Meanwhile, it was also mentioned that the episode will feature the six members in behalf of Song Jihyo who was recently hospitalized after suffering from an allergic reaction. The producer further stated that although they had some editing works to do, good products will be expected. Meanwhile, the episode featuring YoonA, Yuri, Jessica, Seohyun, Taeyeon, Hyoyeon will be aired on the 2nd of October.
This will not be the first time Girls’ Generation appeared on the show after Yoona and Sunny previously made an appearance last April; while Yuri was guesting on a separate episode.

Super Junior’s Yesung and f(x)’s Victoria have released a couple photo. On September 20th, Yesung tweeted the photo along with the caption: “In the midst of recording ‘Best Couple.’ I am Victoria’s new partner.”
Victoria has recently split with Nickhun, her virtual spouse on MBC’s “We Got Married.”
In the photo, the two can be seen in white t-shirts, each with a name tag that says “Standard housekeeping procedures.” They are smiling warming and posing with a “V” sign.
Netizens who viewed the photo commented, “VIctoria is pretty,” “Not bad,” “Both are cute,” and “Nickhun will be sad if he sees this.”
Meanwhile, the show “Best Couple” is hosted by Shin Dongyeop and Leeteuk, and saw its first broadcast on September 14th, 11pm on E Channel.

SM Entertainment finally gave an official word about Girls’ Generation’s upcoming return in the music scene in South Korea. On the 20th of September, SM Entertainment hinted that the group is set to comeback in October and are making final comeback decisions.
According to them, the deciding factor of the group’s comeback and album release dates will depend on Sooyoung’s recovery. Last August 29th, Sooyoung was involved in a car accident causing her to injure her tailbone.
The representative further stated, “We are at the last stage of album production now, while the comeback date is subjected to change according to Sooyoung’s recovery. Although it does not affect the October comeback, we will adjust the date according to her recovery.”
It was also mentioned that famous song composer and producer Teddy Riley participated in this album preparation.
Meanwhile, you can catch the rest of the members as they participate in various individual activities before their actual return. Just recently, Tiffany was confirmed to be part of the musical “Fame” while Yoona has been casted as Jang Geunsuk’s love interest for the drama “Love Rain”. Seohyun was also recently selected to be the new model for the The Face Shop which is set to embark on promotional activities this year.

Super Junior is set to begin their follow-up activities this week as they have finally released their repackaged album, “A-Cha.” However, it has been announced that Siwon will not be able to participate in the follow-up activities due to his new drama “Poseidon,” which made its first broadcast on September 19th.
“Poseidon” is a maritime police drama, the first of its kind, that features Siwon as one of the leads. However, because of the last-minute shooting schedule for “Poseidon,” which overlaps Super Junior’s follow-up activities, Siwon will be unable to participate in “A-Cha”performances.
Super Junior is set to have their comeback on KBS Music Bank this week with “A-Cha.” Their last song “Mr. Simple” achieved 5 consecutive wins, the most this year, and “A-Cha” is expected to have similar results.

Recently, MBC “News Desk” ran a special segment on non-Korean idols, which included upcoming male group E.S.Q, recently debut girl group Chocolat, miss A’s Jia and Fei, 2PM’s Nichkhun and f(x)’s Victoria and Amber. Reporter Kim Jaeyoung investigated into the phenomenon of increasing foreign idol members.
The segment begins with Kim Jaeyoung introducing E.S.Q, who is seen practicing hard on their vocal and choreography to their debut single “MONSTER.” Fans are able to hear a small snippet of “MONSTER” in the clip. Signed under Avance Entertainment, E.S.Q is the first all-international male group to make its debut as a Korean idol group. ESQ mainly consists of Canadians of ethnic Korean origin, in addition to Chinese and Caucasian backgrounds.
Chocolat is then introduced. The group recently made their debut with their single “Syndrome” and has been receiving good feedback on their performances and synchronized dancing. Tia states, “Five years ago, I learned a little Korean with the dream of wanting to be a singer in mind.”
Other non-Korean idols that are well known include 2PM’s Nichkhun (Thailand), miss A’s Jia (China) and Fei (China), f(x)’s Victoria (China) and Amber (Taiwanese-American), and Rania’s Joy (Thailand) and Yijo (China).
Baek Youngmuk, the representative for Chocolat said, “When you go out into the world market, English and culture are things that will be combined into a song. Being well versed in English helps to be friendly to international fans.”
Hong Sukmin, the CEO of Avance Entertainment, stated in a short interview, “The only way to prolong the Hallyu Wave and make K-Pop widely accepted throughout the world is through localization of K-Pop.”
He adds, “Avance Entertainment will continue to recruit talented international individuals through global auditions to succeed in localization.”

EMI Music Japan, the company behind the Japanese career of SHINee, just revealed a music video teaser for SHINee’s next single “Lucifer”. The teaser features the SHINee members in front of a black background in a room that uses a “water floor”.
The single will be available in various versions, including a limited edition type A with a 68 page photo booklet, an original button and an extra DVD. The DVD includes a dance video as well as a music video for “Lucifer”. Limited edition type B comes with the same extras as type A, but gets an extra poster and trading card. A regular version only with the title track and the b-sides will also be release.
The single will be release on October 12th with a Japanese version of “Love Like Oxygen” as it’s second track.
